Rodney Rauth has been influenced by art since childhood. He works in the technological area until 2007, when definitively embraces his artistic career. Academic and figurative art, in addition to the artworks of surrealist, expressionist, impressionist and post-impressionist artists, are his main interests.
His early works are figurative, representing a variety of themes through drawing and painting. He explores several techniques, such as oil painting, soft pastels and watercolor. After approximately two years working as a self-taught, he started to attend ateliers and art schools, receiving influence from contemporary art, but never abandoning his interest for figurative art. Initiates partnerships with other artists, not only in the visual arts, but also in other areas as literature.
Proceed with the studies based on the works and teachings of important contemporary artists who base their works on figurative art and who combine academicism with contemporary art. The interest in improving techniques and anatomy intensifies, influencing drawing and painting studies in the following years. These characteristics are increasingly present in his works, which are currently developed in oil, charcoal, sanguine and graphite.

Rodney Rauth é influenciado pela arte desde a infância. Trabalha na área tecnológica até 2007, quando então abraça definitivamente a carreira artística. A arte acadêmica e figurativa, além dos trabalhos dos artistas surrealistas, expressionistas, impressionistas e pós-impressionistas são seus maiores interesses.
Seus primeiros trabalhos são figurativos, representando uma variedade de temas através do desenho e da pintura. Explora diversas técnicas, como pintura a óleo, pastel seco e aquarela. Depois de aproximadamente dois anos trabalhando como autodidata, começa a frequentar ateliês e escolas de arte, recebendo influência da arte contemporânea, mas nunca abandonando seu gosto pela arte figurativa. Inicia parcerias com outros artistas, não só das artes visuais, mas também de outras áreas como a literatura.
Prossegue com os estudos baseados nos trabalhos e ensinamentos de importantes artistas contemporâneos que têm como fundamento a arte figurativa e que unem o academicismo à arte contemporânea. O interesse pelo aprimoramento das técnicas e pela anatomia se intensifica, influenciando os estudos do desenho e pintura nos anos seguintes. Estas características tornam-se cada vez mais presentes em suas obras, que atualmente são desenvolvidas em óleo, carvão, sanguínea e grafite.
Ao longo dos anos, adotou sua própria linguagem. A poética de suas obras baseia-se principalmente no simbolismo e introspecção. Exposições individuais, coletivas e participação em projetos culturais fazem parte de seu currículo.
